Enhance your understanding and appreciation of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden with this specialized garden tour featuring seasonal aspects of the collection. Come dressed for the weather and touring the Garden.

Spring Blooms Workshop - April 16, 2025

Welcome the season with us at our Spring Blooms Workshop, where you’ll create a stunning arrangement filled with tulips, stock, ranunculus, and more—all in rich, fragrant jewel tones. Whether you're a seasoned flower enthusiast or simply love beautiful things, this workshop is designed for all skill levels—no experience needed, just a love for flowers!

When: April 17th 6-7:30 PM

Where: The Virginia Museum of the Civil War, New Market, VA (8895 George Collins Pkwy, New Market, VA 22844)

Cost: $45 (includes all flowers, a stylish container, and hands-on instruction)

Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival – April 25 to May 4, 2025

​​The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival is dedicated to promoting springtime in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley through events and initiatives that enhance community spirit, showcase our local history and agricultural heritage, provide educational opportunities for our youth, promote tourism, and support charitable organizations.​

 

Twilight Hiking in Shenandoah National Park - May 13, 2025

Big Meadows Area (mile 51 on Skyline Drive)

Hike into the “big meadow” at dusk through the changing colors of the mountain sky and, eventually, the early arrival of night skies as you explore the natural world as it settles into evening. The focus of this hike will be looking for animal signs and seasonal plants as you explore the ecosystems of the meadows. Led by Shenandoah Mountain Guides.

  • $30.00 per person

Brie Austin – Bringing Creativity to Life, One Paint Party at a Time!

Brie is the owner and artist behind Austin Acres, a mobile paint party experience that makes creativity accessible and fun for everyone! With years of experience leading engaging, step-by-step painting events, Brie specializes in helping guests of all skill levels create their own masterpiece – no prior painting experience required.

Her events are more than just a class; they are a social, interactive, and stress-free experience where guests can Relax, have fun, and explore their creativity. Brie knows how to keep the atmosphere lively and enjoyable for all.

Held Thursdays beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Big Meadows Lodge (mile 51 on Skyline Drive).

  • $50.00 per person. Beginners or experienced artists.
  • All materials provided to make your own 11″ x 14″ canvas painting.

Lucketts Spring Market – May 16 to 18, 2025

Located at the Clarke County Ruritan Fairgrounds in Berryville, this popular market showcases over 200 vendors offering vintage hip items, painted furniture, architectural salvage, and more. Live music, beer gardens, and food trucks add to the festive atmosphere.

Shenandoah Valley Wine Festival – June 7, 2025

Wine tastings, music, craft vendors and food trucks on the grounds of the beautiful Yellow Barn at Shenandoah Caverns to celebrate the wines and culture of the Shenandoah Valley. ​

Bach Festival – June 13 to 15, 2025

The Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival in Harrisonburg offers a series of concerts celebrating the works of J.S. Bach and other composers. The festival includes performances by renowned musicians and promises a rich musical experience.

Juneteenth Celebration – June 15, 2025

Join the NAACP Winchester Area at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley to honor Juneteenth. The event focuses on history, education, and community, providing an opportunity to reflect and celebrate shared heritage. Celebrate freedom and reflect on the past at this free Juneteenth celebration featuring live music, children’s activities, food trucks, vendors, and free admission to the MSV galleries, including the exhibition Contributions: African Americans in the Shenandoah Valley.
